LOST RAILROAD

The Lost Railroad is an intense environment with darkness, live insects and reptiles, loud noises, and small spaces! This fundraising event on the farm is NOT recommended for children under 13! Climb aboard our Historical 1800's Locomotive & Railroad, pray the Zombie corpses of the lost Carnies don't find the train as you journey through the darkness. Once you've discovered the Lost Railroad you'll find other things to do including monster bus rides and more. For the really brave, join a search party and hike through the Abandoned Woods where you’re likely to encounter the clowns that are said to be so indifferent they don't even like each other! PLEASE read ALL WARNINGS prior to registration! Event dates are: 9/30, 10/1, 10/7, 10/8, 10/14, 10/15, 10/21, 10/22, 10/28, 10/29

Chiefland Chamber`s Scarecrow City

Chiefland

This is our annual Fall event where individuals, organizations, groups, clubs and businesses build unique SCARECROWS for display on US 19 at the Train Depot Park, from Oct 10th through Nov 23rd. Each scarecrow is creatively themed to promote your interest.

You may build your scarecrow in advance and erect it at the event or you may build it at the event between 10 am and 12 pm.

Scarecrows are visible from US 19 and are viewed by bicyclists on the Nature Coast State Trail and visitors to the Farmers Market.

There will six prizes awarded by our team of 3 judges: 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the business category and 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the non-profit category. The registration form is attached.

CENTRAL FLORIDA PEANUT FESTIVAL

The Peanut Festival is in its 24th year. It features delicious food, assorted types of peanuts and peanut products, rides, music, crafts, antique tractors and the Little Peanut King and Queen, including the Baby Peanut Contest. A petting zoo, pony rides and free grilled PB and J sandwiches while they last!

A Country Circus at Two Hawk Hammock

The Country Circus is Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-5pm. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Ticket is good for both days. Kids 12 & under FREE. Enjoy live music and cirque performances.
