Suddenly In Command

Lions Club, 22 59th Street, Yankeetown, FL

What would you do if while out boating and the operator of the boat you were in became incapacitated and you were Suddenly In Command?

Much of our life in South Levy County revolves around fishing and pleasure boating. Frequently we rely on someone else to handle our boats without much thought to what would happen if they became incapable of operating the vessel.

On Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, the Inglis Yankeetown Lions Club will host a presentation by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary entitled SUDDENLY IN COMMAND! This presentation will cover emergency measures you can take to save yourself. The presentation covers radio operation, throttle use, location of the boat, basic GPS, and other basic water survival skills.

The presentation is approximately 1 1/2 hours long and is suitable for anyone old enough to man a vessel.

Doors open at 6:00 PM at the Lions Club, 22 59th Street, Yankeetown, FL.

This Saturday, several WWALS people are heading for Cedar Key to present and ask for questions, suggestions, etc. about:

who we are: WWALS Watershed Coalition is Suwannee Riverkeeper

how that benefits Cedar Key (which is downstream from everything we do),
